Iowans Rank High For Driving Safety

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - Iowa drivers are among the safest drivers in the country. That's according to a new report by Allstate Insurance.

Cedar Rapids made the list as the 11th safest city for drivers. The America's Best Drivers report also ranked Des Moines as the 13th safest city.

According to the report, drivers in Cedar Rapids are 17% less likely than the national average to be involved in a collision and average more than 12 years between crashes.

The safest driving city on the list is Fort Collins, Colorado.

Drivers there are nearly 30% less likely to have a collision than elsewhere in the country.
