Investigators Look into Air Algerie Crash

MALI (CBS2/FOX28) - The wreck of a plane that disappeared with 116 people on board on a flight from Burkina Faso to Algiers has been found in Mali.
The Burkinabe army said the plane, operated by Algerias national airline Air Algerie, had crashed about 30 miles from the Burkina Faso border.
The plane was traveling to Algeria from Burkina Faso.
Air traffic controllers lost contact with the plane early on Thursday after pilots reported severe storms.
Right now, we dont know if the storm caused the plane to crash but many believe it did because the pilot had messaged air traffic control saying that he was detouring to avoid the storm.
Nearly half of the people on the flight were French - there were no Americans on board.
France has sent troops to secure the crash site as investigators work to determine what caused the crash.
