Murder Suspect had Protective Order Against Alleged Victim

BLACK HAWK, COUNTY (CBS2/FOX28) - According to court documents, Shaun Hogan was granted a temporary protective order after filing a "petition for relief from domestic abuse" against Crystal Gaffney on June 30, 2014.

Just over a week later, Gaffney's body was found on a rural road in Linn County.

Hogan is now facing 1st Degree Murder Charges in her death.

Hogan was also the suspect involved in an "Amber Alert" issued Wednesday night for Gaffney's three children. The girls were found safe.

Hogan was arrested Thursday. A hearing on the protective order had been set for today (Thursday, July 10th).
