Animal Shelter Finally Getting New Home

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) The Iowa City Animal Care & Adoption Center is getting a new home.
The floods of 2008 destroyed their old building on S. Clinton St. and since then, the center has been running out of a temporary office.
The work of rescue care and adoption doesnt stop so theyre excited to start work on their new building.
The new shelter will be built with money from FEMA as well as from donations from partners in the community.
Staff members say the total cost of the project is estimated at around three million dollars.
Marcy Jones stopped by the Center to find out what the new facility will offer.
