Linn County EMA Still Assessing Damage

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- Members of the Linn County Emergency Management Agency are still assessing damage from the nasty floods and weather that happened at the end of June.

EMA staffs says that they have identified 25 homes and 6 businesses that meet FEMA definitions of "destroyed" or having "received major damage." Properties that fall under these two categories are used to determine program eligibility for SBA low interest loans.

The assessment of these damage tours and eligibility for loans should be announced this week.
