Cedar River Crest Thursday

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) Even though the worst of the severe weather may be behind us, residents in Cedar Rapids arent on dry land.
The Cedar River is expected to hit major flood stage during our Fourth of July celebrations.
The most recent National Weather Service report has the Cedar River cresting at 17 point 4 feet Thursday morning.
Major flood stage for the river is set at 16 feet so although it looks like there's a break in the rain; we're still looking at some possible flood damage in the coming days.
