Parts of CR Remain in Bad Shape
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - The city of Cedar Rapids held a press conference Wednesday afternoon to lay out how they plan to help residents deal with the aftermath of flash flooding on Sunday and storms on Monday.
Crews will be going around to pick up tree debris as soon as possible, but right now they are dealing with flood preparations. Officials say they realize that some streets are still in bad shape as more than two dozens streets have major damage.
They say they want to ensure that fixes are made as quickly as possible with temporary repairs to eliminate any hazards that may exist.
The city is also asking residents to bring anything that needs to be collected to their curbside and to keep all items out of the street.
