Slight Risk of Severe Weather Today

There is a slight risk of severe weather today across the southern half of Iowa during the late afternoon and evening. Biggest threat will be large hail and damaging winds. An isolated tornado and flash flooding cannot be ruled out.

One Hospitalized After He Was Hit by a Car

Fairfax, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - A North Liberty man is in the hospital after he was hit by a car.
It happened near the intersection of Church Street and Highway 151 in Fairfax just after 11 Saturday night.
Officers say 29-year-old Derek Hiller was crossing the street when he was struck by an oncoming car.
Hiller was taken to the hospital, and there's no word on his condition.
The woman who was driving the car was not hurt.
So far, no charges have been filed, but the Iowa State Patrol is investigating.
