Branstad Releases First Ad for General Election

DES MOINES, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Just hours after the voters trimmed the fields during Tuesday's Primary Elections, Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds released their first ad for November's General Election.

Entitled "This Is Our Comeback", the ad highlights a few of the accomplishments by the Branstad Administration since taking office in 2011.

On Tuesday, Branstad beat challenger Tom Hoefling in the Republican Gubernatorial Primary by grabbing 83.0-percent of the vote to Hoefling's 16.8-percent, securing a bid for his sixth term in office.

If elected, Branstad would become the longest serving Governor in U.S. history, but first, he will have to beat his democratic challenger, State Senator Jack Hatch who ran unopposed during the Primary Elections.
