U of I Asking For Delay of Funding Decision

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Faculty at the University of Iowa is asking the Board of Regents to delay an upcoming funding decision.
In a letter to the board, U of I's Faculty Senate expressed "serious concern" over a proposal that would cut $60 million from the University's funding.
The new funding model ties 60% of state higher-education funds to Iowa resident enrollment.
That would make Iowa State University the top funded university in the state.
The Board of Regents are scheduled to make a decision about the proposal tomorrow.
