IC Library Goes Hi-Tech

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The Iowa City Public Library is getting a little more hi-tech today.
The children's room unveiled a new piece of technology, an interactive touch table.
Employees at the library describe it as a "table-sized i-Pad".
A local software developer built custom applications that are multi-touch, multi-player, and easy to operate.
The idea is for the table to foster collaboration and exploration between kids.
The table is for children ages six through twelve.
Staffers hope the table will also bring the community together as they give more feedback on what they'd like the table to do.
