Hatch, O'Malley Campaign in Corridor

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) Democratic gubernatorial nominee, Jack Hatch made his way to the Corridor on Saturday, bringing some added support along with him.

Along with Maryland Governor, Martin OMalley, Hatch made stops in Des Moines, Iowa City, and Cedar Rapids.

While the latest polls still have Governor Terry Branstad leading by nine points, Hatch says as he picks up ground on the five-term governor, hes also picking up more confidence that he can win the election.

"You know, a year ago, Governor Branstad was 29-points ahead of me, Hatch said, Now he's less than nine, so we are closing in and a lot has to do with people are getting tired of him, they think he's been there too long."

Along with Hatch and OMalley, newly nominated Lieutenant Governor and Hatch running mate, Monica Vernon was also campaigning in Cedar Rapids.
