Decorah Eagle Goes Into Surgery

DECORAH, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - One of the young Decorah eagles is being prepped for surgery to treat a broken wing.
Earlier this month, someone found the eagle wounded in the river.
Crews rescued the bird and brought it to a veterinarian for an x-ray which showed the bird had a broken wing.
The Raptor Resource Project says the bird's wing will be repaired in surgery on Friday.
The eagle is expected to recover and be released back into the wild, but the reintroduction process could take more than a year.
