Investigation Into Sgt. Bergdahl Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS2/FOX28) - The House Armed Services Committee has announced it will investigate the circumstances leading up to the swap of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban members.
On Monday, during a tense, closed-door meeting, house lawmakers heard from the White House and the Defense Department as they defended the deal.
They also saw the Talibans proof-of-life video from last year.
The White House says that video proves his health was at risk.
Many lawmakers left the meeting angry that dozens of White House and Pentagon officials knew about the release in advance and didn't tell them.
Some democrats defended the White Houses call to get him out right away, quoting the motto; leave no soldier behind.
The Senate Armed Services Committee will be briefed on the meeting Tuesday.
