Rockwell and NASA Test Drones Wednesday

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - Rockwell Collins is teaming up with NASA for a test that will let drone aircrafts fly in national airspace.
Today (Wednesday), representatives from Rockwell and NASA will be at the Eastern Iowa Airport to talk with people about testing drones in the U.S.
They will also be testing technology that would allow pilots on the ground to safely operate a drone in the air even though they are miles apart.
One part of the test will show how one tower would give control of an unmanned aircraft control to another tower.
The second will show how a single tower would control several aircrafts at once.
