Iowa City Man Facing 3 Felony Drug Charges

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - An Iowa City man is facing charges in connection to a drug investigation earlier this year.

In January, the Iowa City Drug Task Force arranged to meet with James B. Hoff, 24, of Iowa City.  At that meeting, Hoff was to deliver drugs and money.

Officers later conducted a traffic stop in which they found a half-pound of marijuana, and $2,800 in cash.

Police also searched his home where they found synthetic THC.

Hoff admitted to selling marijuana, according to a criminal complaint.

Hoff was arrested on Monday.  He now faces two counts of controlled substance violation and one count of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, all Class D felonies.
