Branstad Tours New UI Facility

IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds will tour the new Pappajohn Biomedical Discovery Building on the University of Iowa campus Tuesday.

The new $126 million facility is expected to open in June and is part of a broader plan to modernize facilities at the Carver College of Medicine.

The six-floor building will house labs where researchers will work on a variety of disciplines.

Branstad will also meet with university leaders during his visit.
