Branstad Unsure If He'll Sign Legislation

DES MOINES, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- Gov. Terry Branstad isn't saying yet if he intends to sign a bill to legalize the use of marijuana oil to treat chronic epilepsy.

Branstad wants to wait until he see's the actual legislation that lawmakers passed.  The Governor, along with certain other lawmakers, is concerned about preventing any unintended consequences from the passage of the legislation.

The bill allows for the use of the oil as a last resort treatment for seizures in patients suffering from chronic epilepsy.

Branstad has 30 days to sign the bill.
