Medical Marijuana Oil Bill Passes House and Senate

Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - UPDATE - Iowa Senate passes Medical Cannabis Oil Bill. It is now on the Governor's desk - waiting for his signature.

Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Lawmakers have been working all night, and just after 3:30 Thursday morning, the house finally debated the Cannabis Oil Bill, with several lawmakers giving their personal opinions.
Some noted how it would help many suffering from illnesses, including children.
Opponents said that it could pave the way for more marijuana in the state.
The bill passed in the House, and heads back to the Senate for final approval before heading to the Governor's desk.
His signature would seal the deal, meaning that patients would be able to purchase the oil from another state, but still be able to legally use it in Iowa.
