Police Investigate Latest Iowa City Robbery

IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- The Iowa City Police Department is investigating a robbery that happened early Saturday morning.

Police received a report of a robbery in the area of Highland Ave and Boyrum St on the south side of the city, near Highway 6 at 3:30 AM.

The victim told police that the suspect approached his vehicle and asked for a ride.  The suspect then grabbed the victim and demanded money.  The suspect was last seen walking westbound on Highland Ave.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10", 185 pounds and wearing a blue or green hoodie.

The victim was not injured.  Anyone with information is urged to contact Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS.
