Snowden Claims He Was Trained as a Spy

New York, NY (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Almost a year after leaking details on government surveillance programs, Edward Snowden had his first interview with U.S. media.
Snowden shocked viewers, when he said, was working as a spy but the U.S. government tried to downplay his role to the public.
On Wednesday, he was interviewed from Russia by NBCs Brian Williams.
Snowden says he isn't giving information to the Russian government now, because he doesn't have anything left to give them. He claims to have destroyed the last of the documents.
Snowden has been called a traitor by the state department but he calls himself a patriot.
The U.S. State Department's only comment on the interview was saying they disagree with Snowden's claims about being a patriot.
