2 Injured in Motorcycle Crash

VIOLA, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- Two people are recovering after the motorcycle they were riding on crashed into a ditch Saturday evening.

Authorities responded to County Home Road, east of Quaker Lane, around 5:30 PM Saturday.  The driver of the motorcycle, Kevin Storla, 50, of Marion, lost control of his motorcycle and went into the south ditch.  Storla also had one passenger, Kathy Storla, 51, of Marion.

Both were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids with non-life threatening injuries.  Witnesses said that the driver was not wearing a helmet, but the passenger was.

The crash remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
