Errors in Felon Voter Database

DES MOINES, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- The Iowa Secretary of State's office says that 12 ballots from around the state were wrongly rejected in the November 2012 election because of mistakes in a database of felons ineligible to vote.

Those voters affected either never lost their voting rights and shouldn't have been on the list, or had their rights restored and should have been removed from the list.

The counties with affected voters include Black Hawk, Cerro Gordo, Des Moines, Jones, Marshall, Muscatine, Story, Winnebago and Woodbury.
