Four Districts Approve School Measures

LINN COUNTY/WASHINGTON COUNTY (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Four Eastern Iowa school districts passed public measures Tuesday.

Linn-Mar Community School District voters approved a 10-year plant and equipment tax levy. The levy amounts to $1.34 per $1,000 dollars of assessed property value. The final vote was 62% "YES" to 38% "NO".

Voters in the Center Point-Urbana Community School District easily approved a $12-million public bond measure. The vote was 66% "YES" to 34% "NO".

In the Mid-Prairie Community School District, voters approved a public measure; 74% "YES" to 26% "NO".

The Washington Community School District also passed a bond measure, 69% "YES" to 31% "NO".
