Iowa City Police Investigate Shooting

IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- Iowa City Police are investigating a shooting that happened early this morning.

Officers responded to the Pheasant Ridge Apartments at 2626 Bartelt Road just after 3.  They arrived to find people yelling and running from the area.  They eventually found several shell casings in a parking lot at 2652 Roberts Road.

No people were injured at the scene, but it is unknown whether anyone was injured as a result of the shooting.

One suspect is believed to be involved and is described as a younger light-skinned black male approximately 6'1"-6'2", wearing braids and a black hoody with white stripes.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers are offering up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest.  Anyone with information is urged to contact them at 358-TIPS.

The Iowa City Police Department's Investigations Division continues to actively investigate the incident.
