Sunday's Severe Weather

Eastern Iowa (CBS2/FOX28)--
A line of strong storms moved through eastern Iowa late Sunday afternoon producing strong winds over 70 MPH, hail up to quarter size, torrential rain, and a few tornadoes. Listed below are a few of the storm reports we have received from across the area. Feel free to email us your storm reports and storm photos to weather@cbs2iowa.com.

DAMAGE REPORTS:

-2 miles NE of Fairfax (Linn County) Several trees snapped or uprooted.

- 2 miles NE of Mount Veronon (Linn County) Emergency manager reports a tornado on the ground near Linn Ridge Road and Highway 1.

- Ladora (Iowa County) Shingles blown off houses, siding blown off a church, small tree limbs broken off.

- Atkins (Benton County) Shingles blown off a house and  power lines down blocking highway 30 between 218 and 21st avenue.

- Springville (Linn County) Law enforcement reports at tornado at 4:42pm. It touched down just south of Springville.

- Blairstown (Benton County) Building blown down, power lines down, and a semi jacknifed on Highway 30. 

- Parnell (Iowa County) Small branches down and gutter blown off house.

- 4 miles north of Marengo (Iowa County) Small branches down

- Victor (Poweshiek County) Power lines down.

- 3 miles west of Sigourney (Keokuk County) Large power poles blown down across the road.

- 1 mile west of Martinsburg (Keokuk County) Barn blown down with 1 injury
