Deadly Rock Quarry Accident

DUBUQUE COUNTY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Authorities are investigating a deadly incident at a Dubuque County rock quarry.  It happened late Monday morning at the River City Stone rock quarry in the 4500 block of Dodge Street near the Longhorn Saddlery.
Investigators say a man was operating a semi-tractor with an end-dump trailer owned by Bruening Rock Products out of Decorah.
Officials say the operator of the equipment was dumping asphalt when the tractor-trailer rolled onto its side.  Crews removed the driver, 57-year-old Arnold Fortman, from the vehicle and rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy has been scheduled and the accident remains under investigation.
