Polar Plunge

PALO, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Police officers along with community members took the polar plunge in Palo on Saturday.

The plunge, which took place at the Pleasant Creek Reservoir, benefits the Special Olympics of Iowa and was one of thirteen plunges that took place across Iowa on Saturday.

Special Olympics of Iowa provides athletic training to Iowan's with intellectual disabilities.

This year's water temps for the plunge registered at 32-degrees.
