O'Brien Pushes for Wage Increases

CEDAR RAPIDS (CBS 2/FOX 28) --
Iowa Congressional candidate Dave O'Brien today announced his plan to expand workers' rights and raise wages.
   His focus: pay equality.
O'Brien says it's not fair that employees are asked to work harder than ever but are not compensated for it.
"American workers have increased their productivity 35%, while 80% of our wages have been reduced.  No corporate executive would  accept that pay package.   Work hard, increase productivity for your company, and get paid less? That is ridiculous," said O'Brien.
O'Brien is up against four candidates for the Democratic nomination in Iowa's 1st District Congressional race: Swati Dandekar, Anesa Kajtazovic, Pat Murphy, and Monica Vernon.
