A Historic Move Made By Attorney General
WASHINGTON, DC (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- A historic announcement regarding same-sex marriage is expected later tonight.
Attorney General Eric Holder says he will extend the federal government recognition of same sex marriages to all states.
That includes the 34 states that don't consider it legal.
The attorney general plans to announce the news during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign's New York Gala this evening.
It is expected to be followed up by a memo from the Justice Department Monday.
