Two Injured After Vehicle Goes Airborne

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Two people were taken to St. Luke's Hospital after their vehicle went airborne in the 5600 block of Ellis Boulevard SW late this afternoon.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened after the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle then went into a ditch before becoming airborne.

The driver and a passenger are said to have suffered non-life threatening injuries. Charges are still pending.
