Four Killed In Fayette Co. Crash

NEAR CLERMONT (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Four people are dead after a crash Friday in Fayette County. It happened at about 8:46 a.m. in the 27000 block of Highway 18 (Harding Road), just northeast of the town of Clermont.

When Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies got to the scene, they found a 2008 Chevy truck that was pulling a large, loaded bail trailer. The driver of the truck, 57-year-old Tony Alan Schlee, of Elgin, was eastbound when a westbound 2004 Toyota van, driven by 28-year-old Shariff Hussein Warsame, of Postville, lost control and hit the truck.

Warsame and three of his passengers (34-year-old Miski Yahye Mohamed, 53-year-old Khadijo Mohamed, and 25-year-old Maryan M. Kulane, all of Postville) all dead from injuries suffered in the crash.

Schlee and his passenger, 58-year-old Pamela Ann Schlee, of Elgin, had to be removed from the vehicle and taken to Palmer Luther Hospital in West Union in serious condition.

Officials are not releasing any more information at this time.
