Braley Fuel Cut Opposition Petition
WASHINGTON, DC (CBS 2/FOX 28) --
Representative Bruce Braley is taking a stand against the proposal to cut renewable fuels.
Braley joined with veterans today to deliver a petition with more than 110,000 signatures opposing the move to the Environmental Protection Agency.
More than 1,000 of those signatures came from Iowa.
Braley says renewable fuels improve our economy and help America become more energy independent.
Federal officials are considering lowering the amount of renewable fuels, like ethanol, required in the nation's gasoline.
A decision is expected soon.
