Branstad Expected to Announce Bid for 6th Term

DES MOINES, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds will embark on a 14 city tour starting in West Des Moines on Thursday.  The "Building Iowa's Future" Tour will be accompanied by a "major campaign announcement" Thursday night.

The special announcement will be made at the Hy-Vee Conference Center in West Des Moines at 6:30pm.  Branstad and Reynolds will be accompanied by leaders from across the state to discuss prior accomplishments under Branstad's leadership and the ticket's ideas for building Iowa's future.

The tour will bring Branstad and Reynolds to Cedar Rapids on Thursday for a campaign appearance at Diamond V Mills in Cedar Rapids.  That stop is scheduled for 11:30am.
