Troy Mills Holds Benefit for Family Affected By House Fire

TROY MILLS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Becky and Marc Rawson are celebrating life tonight. They count their blessings everyday after almost losing everything in a house fire last month. But theyre finding their way thanks to the support of family and friends who are rallying around them.
When something bad like this happens, we all like to come together, says Marcey Lieve, who organized a benefit for the Rawson family. It was decided right away, that we were going to do something. Through Facebook, we put together a page to get the information out there, and invited people to come.
Over pulled pork, coleslaw, and items to be auctioned off, the Troy Mills community is hosting the benefit to help the Rawsons get back into their home.  An outpouring of love the Rawsons say has brought them closer together and focused on getting back on their feet.
Well get it rebuilt, well get back there. I mean, it will happen. It just takes time. Got to do it day by day, says Marc Rawson.
