Seven People Injured in Crash In Dunkerton

DUNKERTON, Iowa (AP) -- Authorities say a two-vehicle crash in Black Hawk County sent several people to the hospital, but their injuries are not life-threatening.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened Friday night at an intersection near Dunkerton.
Authorities say 28-year-old Steven Michael Chidester Jr. failed to stop his car at a stop sign and hit a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Stephanie Nichole Holtmeyer. Holtmeyer's car went into a ditch and rolled over into a farm field.
Holtmeyer, an adult passenger and two children in her car were sent to a nearby hospital via ambulance. An adult passenger and child in Chidester's car were also taken to the hospital. Chidester took a personal vehicle to the hospital.
Chidester has been cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
