Most State Patrol Tickets Given Out on I-80

DES MOINES, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Drivers are more likely to get a ticket when they hit the highway in Iowa.
    Analysts determined that drivers in Pottawattamie, Poweshiek, Cass, Iowa and Dallas Counties were more likely to be stopped by State Patrol.
    Those five counties are home to busy stretches of Interstate 80.
    The records show that police issued more than 17,000 tickets or warnings between 2008 and 2012.
    The majority of traffic stops happened on I-80 near the Nebraska border, with nearly 800 tickets and warnings issued.
