Road Safety Reminder

State officials are reminding Iowans to be safe on the roads during winter conditions, especially when the temperatures are low.
The Department of Transportation says even though snow is on the way, it can't put salt on the streets when the temperatures are below zero degrees.
When it is that cold, the salt could cause wet pavement to refreeze.
Temperatures need to be at least 20 degrees to be considered normal conditions.
