Cotton Ball Diet

A new diet trend is causing concern among doctors.
Young women are now eating cotton balls.
Dieticians say the diet is popular among models who use the cotton to feel full without ingesting calories.
Experts say it throws the body into starvation mode and the health risks are great.
"They're not getting nutrients potentially setting themselves up for malnutrition.  Another problem is they could have bowel blockages," said Marta Wright, a dietician at Kettering Health Network.
Teens often dip the cotton into a liquid like orange juice to make it easier to eat.
