ICPD: Crime Calls Down Since Ordinance

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Iowa City officials say crime is down after passing a 21-only ordinance in 2010.
The Iowa City Police Department says the data shows there were at least 1,300 fewer calls for alcohol related crimes in the last three years.
The current ordinance stops people under 21 from entering most bars after 10:00 PM at night.
City officials released the data for voters who will decide whether to retain or repeal the ordinance on November 5th.
Early voting on the issue is going on right now.
