Iowa Hunger Survey
DES MOINES (CBS 2/FOX 28) --
A majority of Iowans are worried about hunger in the state.
A study released today (October 15th) by AARP Iowa shows that 29% of people in Iowa have suffered from hunger and not being able to get enough food.
Nearly half (45%) say they know someone who doesn't have enough resources to buy food regularly.
AARP officials say they hope knowing about the problem will convince more Iowans to donate to their communities.
