Branstad Says Medicaid Fraud Is Down

DES MOINES, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) --  Governor Terry Branstad says Medicaid fraud is down across the state.
    Iowa has a contract with a Minnesota company to prevent fraudulent charges.
    Branstad says over the last three years -- the company has saved the state $86 million.
    He says that savings has helped the state provide better care to patients.
    Governor Branstad and a representative of Iowa Medicaid outlined how the program cut costs.
    In addition -- the state was able to recover money from providers who inappropriately billed Medicaid.
