Iowa Craft Beers At Standstill

CEDAR RAPIDS (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Iowa's microbreweries could be at a creative standstill, thanks to the government shutdown.  A small arm of the Treasury Department oversees the breweries, including licensing, new labels and new recipes.  That means companies can only produce beers already cleared by the government, and bottle it in sizes already approved.

Millstream Brewing Company in Amana says their new labels were just approved before the government shutdown.  Toppling Goliath Brewing Company in Decorah is still waiting on new labels to be approved for it's bottles.
