Man Robbed at Knife Point In Iowa City
IOWA CITY, IA (KGAN/KFXA) On Saturday at around 11:30 p.m. Iowa City Police Officers responded to the area of Keokuk and Crosspark for an armed robbery. The victim of the robbery said that he was walking down Keokuk when he was approached by two white men. He said once they began to pass each other, one of the men stuck a knife in his back and the other demanded money. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim's wallet and then fled the area on foot.
Police said they were last seen running west on Southgate Avenue. The men involved in the robbery are described as 25-30 years of age. The male with the knife was 6'2 with black hair that touched his shoulders. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and black pants. The second suspect was 5'10 with shoulder length blonde colored hair. He was wearing a gray jogging suit and white gym shoes.
The victim in this incident was not injured.The incident remains under investigation.
