Victim Reports Armed Robbery On Sycamore Mall

IOWA CITY, IA (KGAN/KFXA) - On Sunday Iowa City Police Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on the Sycamore Mall.
The victim said that he had just left a nearby movie when a black male knocked on the window of his car. The victim said that the man had a pocket knife in his hand and demanded that he roll down his window. When the victim complied with the request, he was then asked for money. The victim said he gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber is described as a black male 5'6-5'8 between 230-250 pounds in his forties with a goatee and black and gray hair. He was wearing a gray t-shirt and jeans. He was last seen headed toward Panera Bread.

The incident happened at approximately 11:00 p.m. It remains under investigation.
