WHO Radio announcer dies

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCCI-TV) WHO Radio reported Friday afternoon that news anchor Dick Layman has died.

Layman was at work and on the air Friday morning. The station said the death was "sudden."

The station said Layman was 60 years old. He has been with WHO Radio since 1998 and at other radio stations in Iowa before that.

Layman hosted Saturday Morning Live with Cheryl Pannier, in addition to other duties.
