UPDATE: Police Investigate Tiffin Crash

TIFFIN  (CBS 2/FOX28) - Iowa State Troopers are investigating a crash near Tiffin tonight.  Officers were called out to Jasper Avenue and Highway 6 this evening for the dangerous crash.  Officers on the scene tell CBS 2 News a truck heading south on Jasper, and hit a SUV heading East broadside.

Two people have died in the crash in Tiffin. Troy Liddell, 48, and Kelly Liddell, 50, both of North Liberty were pronounced dead at the scene. They were heading Eastbound on Highway 6 when a pickup ran a stop sign and hit the left side of their vehicle. The driver of the pickup fled the scene and has not been found. Troy's wife, Martha; Kelly's husband, Todd; and one passenger in the pickup were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

UPDATE: Police are now looking to talk to an Iowa City/Coralville man who may have witnessed the crash. They want to talk to 34-year-old Carlos Benlanga-Cardona. They would like this person to either contact them or anyone that might know where the subject could be reached to contact the Johnson County Joint Emergency Communication Center at 319-356-6800.
