USS Iowa Torpedo Found

OFF THE COAST OF CALIFORNIA -- A piece of Iowa history is recovered from the Pacific Ocean.

A torpedo fired from the USS Iowa in December of 1899 was found by Navy dolphins in March, but were just matched to the ship.  Log books from the ship show it was in a training exercise off the coast of San Diego at the time.

The Navy News says researchers are taking the torpedo apart to examine it closely.
