Walmart Expanding Health Insurance
CEDAR RAPIDS (CBS 2/FOX 28) --
Retail giant Walmart is getting ready to expand its health insurance benefits.
Starting next year, officials say they will begin covering same-sex couples and domestic partners.
Domestic partners are anyone living together and in a committed relationship for at least a year.
Workers will be able to enroll for those benefits in October.
Walmart's move comes less than a week after UPS told employees they will be dropping spouse benefits.
