Iowa Volunteer Firefighter Sentenced

BOONE, Iowa (AP) -- A volunteer firefighter convicted of setting fires in central Iowa has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Brett Graham, of Kelley, was sentenced Friday after being convicted last month of second-degree arson in Boone County. He was accused of setting at least one fire that killed a dozen horses.
Graham will be sent to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Oakdale for processing.
The 19-year-old was a volunteer firefighter for the Kelley Fire Department, where his father is a firefighter.
Graham still faces charges in connection with setting fires in Story County. A trial has been delayed until October.
